Ashley's growing geometry post

To find the rectangle's area you need to multiply the width and length.

area= WxL
area= 6x5
area= 30


Finding the triangle's area you need to multiply the base and height. You need to find the right angle to find it's height. When it's multiplied it has to be divided by two.

area= 1/2 BxH
area= 1/2 6x5
area= 1/2 30
area=15

The rectangle and the triangles relationship is that the triangle is half of the rectangle.
